I met the late Audrey Auld on a Fred Eaglesmith band tour back in 2012. Through her informal songwriting workshop style and with her further encouragement, I got hooked on songwriting. Since then, I've advanced my skills through numerous classes and workshops and have had songs selected for songwriting contest finals. I got into recording studios in 2017, resulting in an initial CD, REFLECTIONS, being released in 2018. A second full album, DODGING BULLETS, was subsequently released in January 2022. I've just finished a 5 song concept album, CONTANGO, which was released February 27, 2026.
I've had incredible support from the songwriting and music community in Calgary, helping me to record and promote my songs. In spite of having limited ability to tour my music due to some work-related injuries, I continue to write and perform locally.
I was born and raised in the country, so my themes are generally traditional, rural-influenced and fall somewhere within the Roots & Blues - Country genre. My third album will be Country - Rock featuring up-tempo pedal steel guitar.
